Trained Smarthinking tutors can help your students as they do homework, study for tests or review difficult concepts. The Smarthinking service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Therefore, students can log on anytime and receive live help from an expert tutor.

This computer based service can be used from any computer that has an Internet Connection --- at home, at school, at a friend’s house or at the library. Students can receive help with math, chemistry, biology and English.

Please encourage your students to use Smarthinking. They can visit the website at www.smarthinking.com to create an account. Once the account has been established, the service can be used as often as necessary.

To use Smarthinking:
1. Log on to www.smarthinking.com
2. Enter the user name: gearupms
3. Enter the password: tutors
4. The system will then walk each student through the registration process where they will set up their own unique user name and password.

Students will need an email address to register with Smarthinking. If they do not have an email address, please encourage them to set up a “free” account with yahoo, hotmail, etc. If they choose not to establish an email account, they can use a “dummy” email such as 123@ abc.com.
